About a year and something I found on Etsy this Yvonne Porcella's pattern for 3 quilted jackets.

I believe some of us will never die, we will be in our ideas floating around just waiting to be visited by the next generations, exactly how I'm visiting Yvonne today, with my version of her Peplum Jacket!

I decided to use the strips for a foundation paper piecing composition for the back of the jacket. Because the fabrics are most dark, I decided to use the Black version of my favorite Heirloom® Premium 80/20 batting. I quilted with straight lines 1/2" apart and in a 45 angle degree using Aurifil Forty3 40w/3ply in color 2785 as top thread and 50wt same color in the bobbin. I also used the same thread combination for sewing the jacket pieces together.

This is actually my third quilted jacket, you can also check my Gandalf's Quilted Coat and the Quilted Bomber Jacket here, by clicking the names and they are all very friendly sewing patterns and the satisfaction after its done is really cool. I'm totally addicted to sewing quilted clothing and have always had my eyes around patterns that can be used for new projects!
