With a September inspired by kids, I believe color, fun and play have no limits this month. And talking about playing, lets start with my new Block on Board (BOB) die from Accuquilt that arrived with my second Island Batik Ambassador's box, "Crossed Canoes", a 9" finished block. It took me 15 minutes to cut all the fabric for 12 blocks! How awesome is this?!

So, this time my quilt started with a block! I decided to join more crossed canoe blocks on Electric Quilt 8 and design a quilt pattern for this month. As you noticed I had some yardage of pink (111905315) and cherry (111925375) from Petal Pushers Collection, some batik foundations for the "four patch" blocks and a Jelly Roll package, so at some point 2 1/2" stripes would be mandatory ;)

Starburst, 51" x 65"

I used Aurifil Thread 50wt, color 2535 for piecing and color 2510 for quilting vertical lines every 1". Hobbs batting Heirloom Premium 100% Cotton, it quilts like a dream!

And finally the quilt with the kid ;) See you next month!
